Waite Park City Council Considering Grant Application for Dance Studio [AUDIO]

WAITE PARK -- A Waite Park Dance Studio is looking to build their own facility.

Ms. Melinda's Dance Studio is in the early stages of hoping to build their own facility.

City Administrator Shaunna Johnson says they are looking to build in a lot across the street that's been empty for about 20 years.

During tonight's (Monday) city council meeting the council will look to approve her grant application.

Johnson says the development project is being considered with the help of 3rd Street North Development Funds.

The project is estimated at about $1.7 million.

If they grant is approved the next step would be to come up with a development agreement which the council would need to approve at a later time.

More information is expected to be release later this month.
