St. Cloud City Hall remains closed this afternoon and all employees have been sent home following a lockdown and evacuation.

Police spent the afternoon searching the building for possible suspects who may have been using the air ducts as a place to hide possibly live in.  Police searched the building and found no additional suspects.

Officers continue to search for a man who was discovered in a utility room area earlier in the day and fled when an employee found him there.  Police are investigating whether the squatter is linked to recent burglaries at City Hall and have a description of him through witness accounts and video surveillance.

Employees are allowed to return to get their personal belongings until 6:00 p.m. tonight.   They are to use the main atrium doors and provide a photo I.D.

City Hall is expected to open for business at 8:00 a.m. Thursday.
