ST. PAUL - The Foley wrestling team lost to #1 Kasson-Mantorville 37-21 tonight (Thursday) in the Class AA State Championship match at the Xcel Energy Center.

The #3 seed Falcons got to the finals after beating Perham 33-18 earlier today in the quarterfinals.

Foley then went on to defeat the the two-time defending state champions #2 Simley, 31-28 to improve to 32-1 on the year.

The Falcons finish the season with a 32-2 record. #1 seed Kasson-Mantorville went 25-0.

The Foley wrestling team finished sixth at last year's state tournament. They're making their 9th consecutive state tournament appearance, and their 23rd overall.

The individual portion of the state tournament gets underway tomorrow (Friday) at the Xcel Energy Center.
