The 2017 High School wrestling season is in the books, and the area has two new state champions -- Foley heavyweight Mitch Trigg and Sartell sophomore Cole Fibranz.

The team portion of the Minnesota State High school league wrestling tournament went down Thursday at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. And at the end of the day, both Pierz and Foley were able to hoist some hardware.

The Foley wrestling team lost to #1 Kasson-Mantorville 37-21 tonight (Thursday) in the Class AA State Championship match at the Xcel Energy Center.
