BUFFALO (AP) - Two Allina Health ambulance workers are hospitalized with serious injuries from a head-on crash with an SUV in Buffalo.

The crash happened just before 1:30 a.m. Saturday on Wright County Road 35. Brian LaCroix, president of Allina Health EMS, identified them Monday as emergency medical technician Tim Daly, of Albertville, and paramedic Brian Nage, of Greenwood.

LaCroix says the 43-year-old Daly helped at the scene despite significant leg injuries. He's at Buffalo Hospital and expects to spend up to three months in a wheelchair.

He says the 30-year-old Nagel suffered severe head trauma. He's in critical condition at North Memorial Medical Center. He remains in the intensive care unit, intubated and on a ventilator.

The sheriff's office says a patient in the ambulance is not believed to have been injured.
