ST. CLOUD -- Threats of a tornado had residents in southern Stearns County concerned. A tornado warning was issued around 6:00 p.m. last (Thursday) evening.

The storms caused several streets in Paynesville to flood due to the heavy rainfall. The rain continued to move east towards the Kimball area.

The National Weather Service says a storm chaser reported a brief tornado touchdown near Hawick in Kandiyohi County about 6 p.m. Thursday. Another tornado touched down earlier near Norway Lake, also in Kandiyohi County.

The sheriff's office reports no damage.
