Three File for Open Stearns County Commissioner Seat

ST. CLOUD -- The filing period for Stearns County's District 5 commissioner's seat opened today (Tuesday). And, so far three people have filed for the seat held by the late Don Otte.

Jeff Bertram of Paynesville works for West Central Sanitation and is a former state representative and Paynesville City Council member.

Alan Loch of Belgrade is a farmer and Chairman of the Crow River Township Board. He has served on the township board since 1990.

And, Brad Kirckof of Sauk Centre currently serves as the Sauk Centre Mayor.

The filing period runs through Tuesday, September 17th.

The District 5 seat became open after Otte died recently following a long battle with cancer.
