University of Minnesota Athletic Director Mark Coyle released a statement this morning indicating the school is making a change in the men's basketball program. Ben Johnson has been relieved of his duties as head coach.

The Gopher football team is adding a transfer quarterback. Max Brosmer has verbally committed to join the Gophers next season for his final year of college eligibility.

Sauk Rapids native and St. Cloud Tech graduate Brevyn Spann-Ford has received another National College Football honor prior to the season. The University of Minnesota tight end has been named to the 2023 Lombardi Watch List which highlights the top Division I college football players each year.

Two St. Cloud Rox players and 2 Gopher baseball players have been taken in the MLB draft. The former Rox players include infielder Brice Mathews who was taken by the Houston Astros with the 28th overall pick.
