FAIR HAVEN -- One woman is arrested after chasing a man with a machete in Fair Haven Township.

On Monday, just before 12:00 a.m. the Stearns County Sheriff's Office got a call of an assault involving a machete. The caller had been inside his home when he heard people on his deck. After he looked outside, he recognized the three suspects.

The three were trying to take a vehicle that was co-owned by one of them. The caller went outside to try and get his cellphone so he could call the police. One of the three outside broke the caller's windshield after they saw him enter his vehicle.

The caller identified one of the three as 27-year-old Stephanie Tomann of Annandale. She drew a machete and began to chase him with it.

Investigators found Tomann on Tuesday, she was arrested for Second Degree Assault and Criminal Damage to Property.
