UPDATE: Three Big Lake Women Hospitalized After Crash

BIG LAKE -- Three Big Lake women are hospitalized, two with serious injuries, following a broadside crash near Big Lake today.

The state patrol reports 88-year-old Betty Thielen of Big Lake suffered serious injuries after failing to yield to oncoming traffic while attempting a left turn on Highway 25 and 200th Street in Sherburne County.

Thielen's vehicle was broadsided by a minivan driven by 19-year-old Klara Porath of Big Lake. She received non-life threatening injuries from the crash while her passenger, 56-year-old Kim Porath of Big Lake suffered serious injuries.

All three were transported to the hospital and both vehicles sustained severe damage.
