ST. PAUL (AP) - A St. Paul woman is accused of pepper-spraying a sheriff's deputy who was delivering a court summons to her.

Sixty-two-year-old Diana Hill is charged with fourth-degree assault in Ramsey County. A criminal complaint says Deputy Todd Yang knocked on Hill's door on three occasions to deliver the summons in a civil case. On his fourth attempt April 22, the complaint says Hill opened her door and sprayed the deputy directly in the face.

Authorities say Hill later said she was "fed up" that Yang had been knocking on her door.  Hill was released without bail following an appearance in court Thursday.
