ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - Police say they have arrested a man in St. Paul who's wanted in the murder of a Grand Forks, North Dakota, man.

St. Paul police spokesman Paul Paulos says the 29-year-old man was arrested Saturday morning.

Police went to a residence at 861 Marion St. around 10:40 a.m.

Paulos says the man stayed inside for almost an hour. He eventually came out and surrendered without incident after police spoke to him using a bullhorn.

Police believe Dametrian Welch and the man arrested Saturday are responsible for the death of 24-year-old Jose Lopez. Lopez died early Tuesday morning in Grand Forks as a result of three gunshot wounds.

Welch appeared for the first time in court Friday. He is charged with Class AA felony murder and conspiracy to commit burglary.
