ST. CLOUD -- Built back in 1924, the kitchen at the St. Cloud VA Medical Center has been the same for the past ninety years.

Today (Wednesday) the St. Cloud VA held a ground breaking ceremony to dedicate the construction of a new Kitchen and Dining Facility.

Angela Gross is the Director of Nutrition and Food Service. She says the facility will have closer access for residential veterans.

The facility will be stocked with brand new equipment that will help in overall efficiency.

Jon Copeland is the General Engineer on the project. He says once the new facility is built the old kitchen will be remodeled.

Construction for the new kitchen will begin in May and take about two years to complete.
