Squad Car, Officer Struck By Vehicle

ST. CLOUD -- A St. Cloud police officer was hit by a car while conducting a traffic stop.

The incident happened just before 7:00 p.m. last (Sunday) night on I-94 near Opportunity Drive.

The officer was taken to St. Cloud Hospital, where he was treated and released.

The driver of the striking vehicle was 19-year-old Adam Boole of St. Louis Park.  He was not hurt.  He was given a ticket for careless driving and no proof of insurance.

Both the striking vehicle and the squad car had substantial damage.
