WAITE PARK - A new south asian style restaurant that opened in Waite Park on Monday is now closed until Friday.

"Spice" Owner Assad Asaduzzaman says their opening was so popular that they almost had no food left by 1:00 p.m. The restaurant was expecting 120 people for lunch and nearly 400 people visited.

Friday will now be the restaurants "grand opening". Their Facebook page says they are "trying to fix all the glitches so we can offer you the best experience."

The restaurant is at 1001 Division Street in what used to be the Hacienda building. The Hacienda Family Mexican Restaurant closed in early September.

Asaduzzaman says they are grateful for the support from the community and that they are excited to open their doors again. Spice features a full bar and renovated interior. They also cook their own fresh naan bread in a clay oven.
