Smith, Averkamp lead SCSU Over UMD

ST. CLOUD - Sean Smith finished with another double-double and Jon Averkamp led SCSU in scoring to help the Huskies beat in-state rival Minnesota-Duluth 80-68.

Smith ended the day with 19 points and 11 rebounds while Averkamp had 23 points. Smith also added five assists.

Cathedral grad Brindley Theisen also had a good game for SCSU. He scored 16 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and had 5 assists.

SCSU shot over 50 percent from the field.
