The St. Ben's and St. John's basketball teams both won their MIAC openers Wednesday night against St. Olaf. St. Ben's defeated St. Olaf 60-42 at Claire Lynch Hall while #23 St. John's knocked off St. Olaf 75-60 at Sexton Arena in Collegeville.

That can only mean when the boy's state basketball tournament rolls around we get blasted by another round of snow. Well, that would be correct in a typical winter here in Minnesota.

Women's sports have been growing. Both in media coverage and attendance. Now Minnesota's first bar dedicated to Women's Sports will open in Minneapolis.

The St. john's basketball team defeated Gustavus 79-60 in Collegeville Wednesday night. St. john's led 36-28 at halftime and expanded that lead in the 2nd half. Ryan Thissen led the Johnnies with 16 points, Brandon Adelman chipped in 12 points, Kyle Johnson added 11 points and Blake Berg chipped in 10.

St. John's basketball lost 81-76 at Concordia-Moorhead Wednesday before St. Ben's fell to Concordia-Moorhead 67-56.

This is the 12th year that St. Cloud State has been hosting Teddy Bear Toss events as a way to donate to Toys for Tots.
