STEARNS COUNTY - Two people were taken to the hospital after a multi-vehicle crash west of Waite Park on Thursday afternoon.

The incident happened at the intersection of County Road 75 and 134 (between Waite Park and St. Joseph), just after 2:00 p.m.

The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says 23-year-old Samuel Warner of St. Cloud was driving westbound when he crashed into a car stopped at a red light at the intersection, driven by 65-year-old Jadzia Olson of St. Cloud.

Warner's car kept going westbound and sideswiped a van driven by 38-year-old Courtney Frieler of Melrose and a car driven by 46-year old Dori Harding of Albany. Both Frieler and Harding were also stopped for the red light.

Warner continued through the intersection and also hit a car driven by 23-year-old Yurub Ismail of St. Cloud, who was turning left from County Road 75 onto County Road 134.

Harding and Olson were taken to St. Cloud Hospital by Gold Cross Ambulance for treatment of injuries.

At 2:45 p.m. - St. Cloud Hospital said Olson is listed in serious condition. Harding is no longer in their care.

In an email to WJON, the Stearns County Sheriff's Office says the cause of the crash remains under investigation.

The St. Joseph and Waite Park Police Departments, along with the St. Joseph Fire Department, helped at the crash scene.
