SARTELL -- Last week Edmonton Trailers closed on a property deal for a 30,000 square-foot warehouse building that was formerly a part of the Verso Paper Mill in Sartell.

Tonight (Monday) the Sartell City Council took the next step into having the Canada-base company move to the area.

The city council approved a loan process that would allow the company's expansion to Sartell.

Anita Rasmussen is the Planning and Community Development Director. She says with the council's approval they can now work the the Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) to secure the funds.

The loan would provide Edmonton Trailers with the start up costs they need to get the company going.

Edmonton Trailer is expected to add 60 jobs in the area over the next two years.

By providing the loan, the city would be responsible for providing annual reports to DEED.
