ST. CLOUD - Money and items donated to the Roosevelt School will be used to help prepare the former Kennedy building for the fall school year.

Students from the Secondary Extended School Year program held a garage sale benefit for the Roosevelt Education Center a few weeks ago.

For the intermediate future, the St. Cloud area school district will be moving most of Rooosevelt's programs into Colt's Academy (Recently the old Kennedy building).

Executive Director of Business Services, Kevin Januszewski says money donated is being used for supplies and equipment in the building.

In the long term the district is hoping to get a new building at the existing Roosevelt site or the Wilson site. Superientendant Willie Jett has said ultimately the board would want to move into a state-of-the-art Early Childhood and Community Education building.
