Rapids River Days Bringing Summer Fun To Sauk Rapids

SAUK RAPIDS -- Three days of fun summer events are scheduled this week in Sauk Rapids for the 12th annual Rapids River Days.

The festivities begin at 7:00 p.m. Thursday night with the Community Ambassador Pageant being held at the Sauk Rapids-Rice High School Performning Arts Center.

On Friday, a parade is scheduled to start 6:00 p.m. that runs along 6th Avenue.

A 5K run and 1K walk for Tanner's Team Foundation gets going at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday morning with registration beginning at 7:30 a.m. at Bob Cross Park.

After the run, you can go get some grub at the Rapids River Food Fest that starts at 11:00 a.m. at Municipal Park. While eating, you can see amazing feats of physical strength as the Minnesota State Strongman/Women Championships are held.
