COLD SPRING - Cold Spring needs to make some decisions about their library.

Right now the library is located in the city hall building, but because their programs and circulation have been growing rapidly, they're running out of room.

During tonight's (Wednesday) city council meeting, the council will hear the results of a study weighing the city's options.

One potential option is to move the library to the former ROCORI Middle School Building.  That's now called the District Education Facility and already houses the senior center, community ed, and ECFE.  About 40% of that building is still empty.

Another possible option is to build a new building in the Granite Landing development area downtown.

City Administrator Paul Hetland says no decisions will be made tonight, but they are hoping to move quickly.

The Cold Spring Library is part of the Great River Regional Library System.
