ST. CLOUD (WJON News) -- Tuesday marks the start of the Locally Grown' Campaign to raise money for our local libraries.

The Great River Regional Library System moved the campaign from March to April this year to align with Library Giving Day Tuesday and National Library Week, April 6-12.

The Locally Growin' campaign runs from April 1st through April 30th.

Each of the 32 libraries in the GRRL system sets a fundraising goal and a specific "wish" item. Many of the libraries are wishing for audiobook and read-alongs for kids, children's programming, and Playaway ready-to-play books.

Library officials say 100% of each donation goes to the library branch of the donor's choice.

Last year, more than $27,000 was raised around the region.
