Art Camps For Kids Kick Off At Paramount Center

If you’re already thinking ahead to summer and wondering how to keep the kids busy, this is one opportunity you’ll want to jump on early.

The Paramount Center for the Arts is getting ready to launch its 2026 Summer Art Camps, and if you’ve ever tried to sign up before, you know these spots don’t last long.

SUMMER CAMPS TO KEEP YOUR KIDS ENGAGED

These camps are packed with creativity and hands-on fun, giving kids the chance to explore everything from clay and painting to drawing, mixed media, glass projects, and more. It’s a super non-pressure way to keep your kids active through the summer; creating, experimenting, and actually feeling proud of what they make.

Don’t be surprised if they come home a little messy. That usually means they had a great day!

REGISTRATION BEGINS MONDAY, MARCH 2ND

Registration goes live Monday, March 2nd at 10:00 a.m.

Families can sign up in a few different ways:

• Online anytime at ParamountArts.org/summer-art-camps
• In person at the Paramount Box Office (913 W. St. Germain Street in St. Cloud)
• By phone at (320) 259-5463 (Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.)

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE REGISTERING FOR SUMMER CAMPS

There are a few helpful details parents should keep in mind:

• Age requirements matter. Camps are designed for specific age groups, and kids must meet the minimum age by the start date.
• Transportation is up to families. Drop-off should be no earlier than 15 minutes before camp, with pick-up within 15 minutes after it ends.
• Dress for creativity. Send kids in clothes that can get messy, along with closed-toe shoes for safety.
• Lunch plans. If your child is enrolled in both morning and afternoon sessions, they can stay on site, but don't forget! They are going to get hungry so don't forget to pack a nut-free lunch.
• Limited screen time. You might want to have a conversation with your kids before they start camp. They need to know that devices should be on silent during camp, to keep the focus on creativity.

WEEKLY ART SHOWS

Each week wraps up with a special art show, where friends and family are invited to come in during the final 20 minutes of camp to see what the kids have been working on. Some pieces will go home right away, while others, like kiln-fired projects, will be ready for pickup a few weeks later.

ACCESSIBILITY FOR EVERYONE

The Paramount also offers an Assistance Fund to help families who may need financial support, making sure more kids in our community have access to these creative opportunities.
