RICE -- Construction of a new interchange along Highway 10 in Rice gets underway July 8th. You have a chance to learn about detours and the project design before it gets started by attending an open house.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation will hold an open house tomorrow to learn about the Highway 10/County Road 2 interchange project. There will be no formal presentation, but project leaders will be on hand to answer questions and offer informational handouts.

You are invited to attend anytime in that two hour window. The open house will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Rice City Hall.

The project will replace the existing at-grade intersection with a grade-separated interchange including a bridge carrying traffic on County Road 2 over Highway 10. It's a project which received federal funding to improve safety and cut down on fatal crashes.
