Nuclear Plant Back to Full Power

MONTICELLO - Operators returned the Monticello Nuclear Power Plant to full power this (Monday) morning, after replacing a cable that failed on October 21st.

The cable failure caused a transformer to lock out.

All plant safety systems functioned as designed, and the situation posed no danger to the public or plant workers.
