MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The curtain's coming down on a popular Internet Cat Video Festival in Minneapolis.

The Walker Art Center says it's ending the annual event so it can concentrate on expanding the adjoining Minneapolis Sculpture Garden.

The festival started in 2012 as an experiment to see if Internet communities could be converted into physical communities through live events.

Walker Design Director Emmett Byrne says the festival was a success and it's time "to let it go."
