Niron Magnetics To Celebrate Steel Raising For New Sartell Plant

SARTELL (WJON News) -- A new Sartell business will mark another milestone in its development on Wednesday. Niron Magnetics will hold a ceremony for the steel raising at its new Sartell plant at 3:00 p.m.

Sartell Mayor Ryan Fitzthum and Niron CEO Jonathan Rowntree will speak at the event about the significance of the economic impact the plant will have on Sartell's and Minnesota's manufacturing, and on U.S. supply chain independence from rare earth materials. There will also be a site tour and building renderings on display.

Niron Magnetics specializes in the manufacturing of high-performance rare-earth-free permanent magnets. The 287,000-square-foot Sartell plant will have up to a 1,500-ton annual capacity and offer around 175 full-time jobs once it opens in 2027. The new facility will be located at 310 4th Avenue South in Sartell between 2nd Street South and Heritage Drive.
