Newlyweds Gifts Stolen on Wedding Night

BLAINE  (AP) - Wedded bliss for a newlywed couple was dampened when they learned all of their gifts from friends and family had been stolen during their wedding night at a Blaine hotel.

Josh and Emily Wood arrived at the hotel just before midnight Saturday and about 7 a.m. Sunday a member of their wedding party spotted the driver's side door to the couple's SUV was wide open in the parking lot. The couple found everything was gone, cards and all. Emily Wood says they were blindsided and that it was hard to imagine something so bad could happen on such a happy day.

Emily Wood says the gifts may be gone, but the thieves can't steal their wedding day memories.
