Minnesota Authorities Identify Remains Found in May

MCKINLEY, Minn. (AP) - Authorities in St. Louis County have identified the skeletal remains of a man found near McKinley last month.

Reports say the man was 56-year-old Barnabas Kalina Jr. His remains were found May 11.

The county's chief medical examiner identified him through dental X-rays. The cause of death hasn't been determined, but there are no visible signs of trauma.

The case is still under investigation. St. Louis County deputies are asking for anyone with information about why Kalina may have been in the area to call them.
