Minneapolis Man Pleads Guilty to Murder in Stabbing Death
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A Minneapolis man accused of fatally stabbing another man last November pleaded guilty as jury selection was about to begin for his trial.
Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman says 19-year-old Robinson Palacios-Castro pleaded guilty Monday to second-degree murder in the death of 29-year-old Elias Lopez-Lopez of Minneapolis following a fight.
Authorities say Lopez-Lopez died at a hospital from multiple stab wounds, one of which hit his heart.
Freeman says Palacios-Castro will receive 22 years in prison when he's sentenced Sept. 21.
