Man Killed While Walking With Others Near Cass Lake

CASS LAKE (AP) - Beltrami County sheriff's officials say a man has been struck and killed while walking with two others along a road near Cass Lake.

Authorities say 32-year-old Timothy John Widstrom of Walker was hit by an SUV with a snow blade about 8 p.m. Wednesday. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say Widstrom was walking southbound when he ran into the path of a northbound vehicle and was struck.

The fatality is under investigation.
