Man Dies After Being Struck by Green Line Train in St. Paul

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- A man has died after he was hit by a Green Line light rail train in St. Paul.

Authorities say the man and his friend were crossing the tracks when he was hit at about 4:30 p.m. He died at a hospital. His friend made it across the tracks safely.

The crash caused significant delays during the rush hour commute.

Metro Transit spokesman Howie Padilla says officials are investigating.
