Local Craft Store Owner Named Entrepreneur Of The Year

The St. Cloud Chamber of Commerce has named the winner of their annual Entrepreneurial Success Award.

John Schlecht is the owner of Crafts Direct in Waite Park, and has had a long career working in numerous positions with craft supplies stores and companies.

He opened his own independent craft supplies store in 1990.

Schlecht says the store was an immediate hit, and has seen consistent growth year after year.

He'll  be honored at the Chamber's Business Awards Luncheon on May 3rd at the Holiday Inn and Suites.
