
Last Chance To Nominate A Remarkable Woman Farmer In Minnesota
It's Time To Honor Those Who Seek No Credit or Praise
We’re coming to the end of May sooner rather than later, which for some of us is hard to believe. Time truly is flying by. Something else is coming to an end this week, the opportunity to nominate someone for “The Farmfest Woman Farmer of the Year”.

So many women are hardworking farmers in our state along handling many duties around the farm and around the communities and towns they live in.
The qualifications for nominees are as follows:
- Must be a sole proprietor of a farm or ranch in the state, or be part of a couple, family or partnership of the farm or ranch
- Each nominee must contribute to the farm/ranch operations which can be combined with their work outside the property
- Each nominee must have a high level of commitment to the farm or ranch through their duties there
- Each nominee must have a positive impact on overcoming challenges as well as the income, yield and diversification of the farm or ranch
- Each Nominee must make a considerable positive impact on the farm/ranch and their community
- The farm or ranch each nominee works must be entirely in Minnesota
A Few Other Things..
The other aspects of the nominating a woman for this award, they are encouraged to be present on August 7th for the announcement, and they must be willing to be used in Farmfest new stories, social media posts and other advertising that will be done.
The winner will pick up $1,000 along with accolades from those around them. The finalists will be informed by June 4th at the winner will be announced on August 7th at Farmfest.
