WJON weekly guest Jerry Carlson stopped by today to talk hunting and fishing.  Jerry discussed the trouble with invasive species, specifically zebra mussels, on Cass Lake and he discussed an opportunity for a youth hunt.  The invasive species problem continues to be an issue because of the transferring of these creatures from boat to boat.  Boaters are asked to report problems and to clean their boat.

Adults can hunt without a license in Minnesota September 20-21 as long as they have a young person under 15 with them.  I idea is to expose more youngster to hunting.  Listen to my conversation with Jerry below.

Jerry Carlson, the Doctor of Fishing and Hunting, joins me Thursday mornings at 8:40 on WJON.
