Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sauk Rapids for Jane E. Connor, age 68, who passed away Tuesday at St. Therese Hospice at St. Odilia in Shoreview after a three year battle with melanoma. Rev. Ralph Zimmerman and Rev. Ronald Weyrens will officiate. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids and one hour prior to the services Wednesday at the church. Christian Mothers will pray at 5:00 p.m., followed by parish prayers at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Jane was born Sept. 25, 1946 in Rochester to Joseph & Helen “Pat” (O’Neil) Quiter. She married Jerry Connor on Oct. 11, 1969 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Rochester. She lived in the Sauk Rapids/St. Cloud area all her married life. Jane was a bookkeeper for Coborn’s for 30 years, retiring in 2015. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she was a member of the Christian Mothers, a Eucharistic Minister, and volunteered at the bazaar and fish fry. She also volunteered for the local Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts. Jane enjoyed reading, traveling with family and friends, logic puzzles, scrabble, the Food Network, margaritas, and exposing her grandchildren and herself to new adventures. She was kind, thoughtful, forgiving, adventurous, and determined. Faith was very important to her. In her true charitable form, Jane donated her body to science.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry of Sauk Rapids; children, Jennifer (Kevin Doll) Connor of St. Paul, Jill (Brian) Hedlund of St. Paul, Joel of St. Louis Park , and Jacquelyn (Marc) Bacigalupi of Baxter; mother, Pat Quiter of Rochester; brothers, John (Elaine) Quiter of Berkley, CA and Jim (Karen) Quiter of Walnut Creek, CA; grandchildren, Connor, Joseph, Vivian and Andrew; and many nieces and nephews. Jane was preceded in death by her father, Joseph.

Memorials are preferred to the Melanoma Research Foundation.
