ST. CLOUD -- A Stearns County judge has found a Sauk Rapids man guilty in a sex trafficking and prostitution case.

Forty-year-old Israel Davis has been convicted on 10 felony counts including soliciting women to act as prostitutes, sex trafficking and promoting prostitution.

According to the criminal complaint, an undercover officer responded to an escort internet ad and set up a meeting for sex. Officers met the woman the following day and she agreed to provide details on Davis who the woman said got her started in the business.

Two other women also came forward to point the finger at Davis who is accused of having several women working for sex and providing him with the money.

Davis is being held without bail while a pre-sentence investigation is completed. No sentencing date is currently available.
