UPDATE: Details Emerge From Waite Park Gunshots Incident

WAITE PARK -- Waite Park Police are looking for two black men who fired gunshots in the 600 block of 7th Street South today.

Police say the incident happened across the street from Discovery Elementary prompting school officials to lock it down as a precaution. The students were ultimately let out from school at their regularly scheduled time.

Police say the incident unfolded at about 1:15 p.m. when a large group of people gathered behind 601 7th Street South and an argument broke out. That's when police say one of the two suspects fired gunshots into an occupied mini-van. No one inside the van was hurt and the men ran from the scene.

Officers were assigned to protect the perimeter of the school and the suspects did not enter the school building.
