ST. CLOUD -- A partnership between the Stearns County Attorney's Office and CentraCare Health was awarded a grant to help abused children and their families in the area.

The Minnesota Office of Justice Programs awarded the grant of $130,950 to open a Child Advocacy Center at the CentraCare Health Plaza in St. Cloud.

The center will provide investigative and medical services to child victims of violence along with support to families in crisis.

Families in central Minnesota currently have access to these services, but must travel to the Twin Cities for them.
