FOLEY -- A Tuesday night traffic stop in Benton County ended as a drug bust.

A sheriff's deputy stopped a car for speeding on Highway 23 just west of Foley at 11:50 p.m.Sheriff's officials say the driver, 18-year-old Benjamin Bemboom of Foley, appeared nervous and under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

A police dog was used to search the vehicle and turned up marijuana and a small amount of methamphetamine.

Two juvenile passengers were cited for possession of marijuana and released to their parents.

Bemboom was arrested for 5th degree drug possession and driving under the influence. He's jailed awaiting his first court appearance.
