Flash Flood Warning Issued For Stearns, Pope Counties

CHANHASSEN, MN - The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for Northwestern Stearns, Northeastern Pope, Douglas and Southern Todd Counties until noon today.

At 8:50 a.m. today, doppler radar indicated thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall across this area, with 1-3  inches since 6:00 a.m., and another 1-2 inches expected.

Towns that could see flash flooding from the runoff include: Freeport, Meire Grove, Melrose, New Munich, Sauk Centre and St. Rosa.
