UPDATE: Wild Land Fire Suspected To Cause Garage Fire To Sauk Rapids Home
SAUK RAPIDS -- A wild land fire is suspected to be the cause of a garage fire to a Sauk Rapids home yesterday (Friday).
WJON received a phone call around 3:30 p.m. there was a fire in Sauk Rapids along 10th Avenue Northwest.
Sauk Rapids Fire Chief Jason Flemming says the blaze was contained to a three stall garage and crews were able to save the house.
The garage suffered heavy damage, including damage to a boat.
Members of the Sauk Rapids, Sartell and Rice Fire Departments were at the scene fighting the blaze.
Flemming says because it was a wild land fire the DNR is investigating the cause of the fire.
