ST. CLOUD - Despite the sign being taken down recently, Chick-fil-A is still planning to open a restaruant at the former Pizza Hut building next year.

Several listeners have reached out to WJON recently concerned about the "Chick-fil-A Coming Soon" sign being taken down. Crossroads Center general manager Darcy Eigen says the sign was taken down due to wind damage.

Construction will start in the fall with an opening planned for around September 2016. The Chick-fil-A will include a drive through.

Pizza Hut closed its doors in January and moved to a different location at Sundial Village at 713 2nd Street South in Waite Park.

Chick-fil-A is a fast food restaurant based in Atlanta, specializing in chicken sandwiches.
