CENTER CITY (AP) - A Chisago County grand jury has indicted a 29-year-old man in the death of his girlfriend who disappeared more than a year ago.

Aaron Schnagl is charged with third-degree unintentional murder for reportedly supplying Danielle Jelinek with cocaine.

Jelinek was at Schnagl's Chisago Lake Township home the night she went missing last December. Her body was found six months later in a nearby marsh.

Because Schnagl was indicted, there is no criminal complaint outlining the prosecution's case.

Schnagl's attorney, Rachael Goldberger, says her client continues to maintain his innocence.

Prosecutor Janet Reiter says it took a year to file charges because "there were a number of angles that needed to be tied up."

Schnagl is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 22.
