Elizabeth Anna Inselman, age 87, St. Cloud, MN died Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Sterling House, Sauk Rapids, MN.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 10:30 AM at St. John’s Episcopal Church, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 23, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. VFW Auxiliary prayer service will be at 4:30 PM Tuesday at the funeral home followed by the Military Order of Cootie Auxiliary prayer service. Burial will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls, MN.

Elizabeth was born December 20, 1926 in Winfield Township, Renville County, MN to August H. and Martha (Steffel) vonLoh. She married Kenneth J. Inselman on February 14, 1947 in Litchfield, MN. Elizabeth worked for Stearns County Nursing Services as a home health aid for 22 years, retiring in 1989. She volunteered at the VA Hospital for 57 years. Elizabeth was a member of Military Order of Cootie Auxiliary PT 54; a member, president, past Grand President and VA VS Rep for Military Order of Cootie Auxiliary PT 62. She was a member and past President of St. Cloud Eastside VFW Auxiliary Post 4847 and past President of District 6 VFW Auxiliary. Elizabeth was also a member of Whitney Senior Center Quilters; St. Cloud Flower and Garden Club; St. Cloud Heritage Quilters; and St. John’s Episcopal Church, St. Cloud, MN.

Survivors included her children, John Inselman of Steilacoom, WA; Linda Bergum of Foley, MN; Jeanne Inselman of Minneapolis, MN; Kenette Faulkner of San Ramon, CA; Jolene Sobania of Foley, MN; five grandchildren, Chris (Tammy) Inselman, Laura (Jayson) Godden, Roberta (Jasen) Webb, Andrew Sobania, and Steven Sobania; seven great grandchildren, Joshua and Sydney Inselman, Kenneth, Jacob, Timothy and Rachel Godden, and Chloe Webb; sister, Esther Vorlicek of New London, MN and brother-in-law, John Minnick of Cosmos, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Kenneth on December 24, 2004; three sons-in-law, Lloyd Bergum, Larry Sobania and Tom Faulkner; daughter-in-law, Maria Inselman; grandson, Eric Bahnemann; great granddaughter, Amelia Inselman; brothers, Joe and William vonLoh, twin sister, Mary Schoolmeester, and sisters, Lillian Arnold and Elsie Minnick.

Pallbearers will be Douglas Minnick, Bradley Minnick, Richard Inselman, Douglas Inselman, Andrew Sobania, and Steven Sobania.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. John’s Episcopal Church or St. Croix Hospice.
