ST. CLOUD -- Low-income students in St. Cloud are getting extra help to take part in District 742's extra-curricular activities.

The district's Local Education and Activities Foundation has started the Activities Participation Fund it's built to help disadvantaged kids take part in the student activities programs. The fund will do this by covering some of the costs for physicals, equipment, transportation, and other costs involved in kids being a part of after school activities.

The Activities Participation Fund has already started to help thanks to a $5,000 gift from Liberty Bank and two other recurring donors.

If you'd like to help out, donations can be made on LEAF's website, or donation checks can be made out to the "LEAF Participation Fund" and sent to: LEAF, P.O. Box 1132, St. Cloud, MN 56302.
