ST. CLOUD - The St. Cloud Area School District has reached a tentative contract with it's teachers union.

Superintendent Bruce Watkins says the teachers won't get a salary increase for this past year, but instead will get a one-time payment of $600,000, which will be divided among the teachers.

The contract calls for a one-percent pay raise for this coming school year.  The teachers have not had a salary increase since 2009.

The teachers will start voting on the contract on Monday.

The two sides have been in negotiations for over a year.
