ROSEMOUNT (AP) - A furry four-legged animal usually found in the wild is crashing backyard parties and rummage sales in one Rosemount neighborhood.

A docile deer has settled into the neighborhood and is completely OK with human interaction. Neighbors say the deer acts more like a dog, following them around and allowing them to pet it. The deer has posed for pictures and even tried to follow some children into a bounce house on a recent National Night Out.

Amy Borchardt says she was surprised to see the deer checking out the merchandise at her recent rummage sale. Borchardt says the deer was sniffing the toys and picking at the dolls.

Residents say they're not sure where the deer came from or why it's so domesticated, but say it's become somewhat of a neighborhood mascot
