SAUK CENTRE --The 60th Princess Kay of the Milky Way will be crowned tomorrow (Wednesday), as part of the Minnesota's dairy industry's great "Minnesota Get-Together."

One of the twelve finalists will be crowned to serve as the goodwill ambassador for Minnesota's nearly 4,000 dairy farmers.

The finalists will be judged on their communication skills, personality and general knowledge of the dairy industry.

Christine Reitsma, of Sauk Centre, is the current Princess Kay and Stearns County Princess. She says the past year has been one of growth.

"I have been able to grow and learn so much this past year. Not only from dairy farmers that I have met, but from the public as well."

Reitsma has spent the summer getting to know the finalists. She says she sees a little of herself in each one.

"All twelve of them hold that same passion and love for the dairy industry as I do. They represent Minnesota Agriculture well."

The coronation will be held at the Minnesota State Fair Band Shell starting at 8:30 p.m.
